Hollow Ocean VR
Hollow Ocean VR is a VR exhibition I worked on for Dr. Pinar Yoldas, a noted artist in her field, made as a partner piece to the physical Hollow Ocean, exhibited in the 2021 Venice Biennale of Architecture. Hollow Ocean investigates the anthropogenic impact on the oceans while offering a thought-provoking immersive experience. This is done via six “chapters”, represented as aquatic columns, which transport the player to various scenes of ecological disaster - such as oil spills, acidification, ghost fishing, and eutrophication.
My capacity in this VR project was as a Project Manager and general developer. As Project Manager I worked alongside Dr. Yoldas to plan our development roadmap, find and onboard interns, manage and organize meetings, assign tasks, contact potential partners/grant funders, and otherwise help where I was needed. I also aided with the development of the game using Unity and Blender, troubleshooting, creating assets, etc.
